The South East's Premier Function Band
The Band comprises Male and Female vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Drums and the all-important added bonus of the horns: Trumpet, Trombone and Tenor Sax.
Rubber Soul was
formed in 1998 at the world renowned School of Performing
Arts at the University of Surrey, England. All the members
are qualified musicians, graduates of the University of Surrey
with BMus Honours degrees. 6 of the members are graduates
of the world famous 'Tonmeister' Music and Sound Recording
degree course and are specialists in a variety of areas of
the European music industry.
Born from an enthusiam for classic soul, funk and rock'n'roll,
the band have developed their style through their various
experiences of classical and popular music, bringing together
a variety of individual talents into one band. Hear examples of our live music here.
Through performances in venues ranging from
pubs, clubs, hotels and function rooms with audiences of several
hundred, through to students unions, concert halls and festivals
of over 2000 people - the group continue to expand their repertoire
to suit.
Performing throughout the country, the group
have provided wedding reception entertainment, live music for corporate functions, parties
and music festivals by providing strong
sets of well known and much loved classic songs for audiences
of all ages.
For larger functions, Rubber Soul can be upsized to include additional keyboards,
guitars and brass members for an even bigger sound.
Each additional member is a professional musician, each regularly
playing with the 'super-sized' band.
All options are negotiated to suit individual
clients at an individual rate.
The group continues to base itself
in the South East of England and Guildford, in Surrey, is
